Creative Caring Hands

Our Hands-On Missions team supports local nursing homes, shut ins, and Hospice House patients with hand-made cards and care packages. This team also puts together personal hygiene care packages to support the Domestic Violence Program, Hope Mission Homeless Center, and Family Promise of Carteret County.

 

NCPacks4Patriots

We have a team that travels to Ayden, NC a few times a month to work with NCPacks4Patriots. Our Hands-On Missions team makes cards for troops and bring them to NCPacks4Patriots where they are shipped overseas in care packages for deployed military personnel. We also help pack personal hygiene kits for soldiers in Combat duty that are distributed 2-3 times yearly.

 

Knitting and Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Knitting Ministry at ASAC touches people from newborn to seniors with knitted and crocheted items made with love and prayers.  Baby sweaters, blankets and hats bless single mothers at Coastal  Pregnancy  Care Center, children's hats are made for the Appalachian Christmas  Project, Christmas  ornaments are sent to soldiers overseas, and lapghans and prayer shawls cover community seniors in prayer as they face medical issues. This ministry meets the 3rd Wednesday monthly at 1pm and open to all who desire to help.

Hurricane Relief Program

Our Hurricane Relief Program helps community members in need following a natural disaster. Our most recent project involved completing 25 buckets filled with hygiene items, tarps, mold killer, and other items necessary for post-hurricane cleanup.

                        

Food Ministry

Our Food Ministry hosts a monthly Buggy Day at the church, where we collect non-perishable food items to be distributed to local food pantries. This team also hosts local food drives that are sponsored by church members in their home neighborhoods. Food collected from these drives are also distributed to local food pantries and other community needs.
